The Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) undertakes researches that define the citizenry’s nutritional status, with reference particularly to the malnutrition problem, its causes and effects. The Forest Products Research and Development Institute (FPRDI) conducts research and development on wood and non-wood forest products. It is the center for applied technologies on the utilization of forest-based products in the country.
